Bullard Honored

Dr. Lisa G. Bullard, teaching associate professor and director of undergraduate studies in chemical and biomolecular engineering, received the 2010 Ray W. Fahien Award.

The Chemical Engineering Division at the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) presents the award for contributions to chemical engineering education. Bullard was honored for her teaching effectiveness and educational scholarship.

Bullard is a recipient of the Outstanding Teacher Award, George H. Blessis Outstanding Undergraduate Advisor Award and NC State Faculty Advising Award.  She was named an NC State Alumni Distinguished Undergraduate Professor this year.

She received the Joseph J. Martin Award in 2008 with colleague Dr. Richard Felder for the most outstanding paper presented in the chemical engineering division of the ASEE annual conference.  Bullard earned a B.S. in chemical engineering from NC State and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
