NC State to Hold Open House for Prospective Students on Oct. 16

What: North Carolina State University’s Open House gives high school students and families, school counselors and teachers an opportunity to visit the campus and learn about academic programs and student life at the state’s largest public university. About 8,000 people attend annually. Visitors can get information about specific majors, admissions, housing, dining, arts, athletics and more. Student groups will perform and entertain the crowd throughout the day.

Who: Hosted by NC State’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

When: Saturday, Oct. 16, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Campus tours will begin at 9 a.m. and run continually throughout the day. Walking tours of main campus will leave from the Talley Student Center’s fountain area. Drive-thru bus tours of Centennial Campus will depart from the side of Carmichael Gymnasium. Admissions information sessions, scheduled for 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m.,11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m, will take place at Stewart Theatre in Talley Student Center. A Spanish-language information session will take place at 11 a.m. in Room 1601 of Carmichael Recreation Center.

Where: Talley Student Center and Carmichael Gymnasium on NC State’s main campus.

Cost: All events are free and open to the public.
