Apply for NSF Advance Workshops

If you’re a faculty member who’s interested in pursuing administrative positions, learn what it takes to succeed.

The Advance Developing Diverse Departments Project, funded by the National Science Foundation and NC State, will offer a series of workshops in the spring as part of efforts to increase the number of women and minority faculty. Friday, Nov. 4, is the deadline to apply.

Applicants must be tenured associate or full professors. No administrative experience is necessary. You’ll be asked to submit a letter of interest and brief vita.

Applicants will be selected based on demand and interest, with notification by Friday, Dec. 2.

The workshop series will consist of seven sessions: four discussions and three panels of administrators working in departmental, college and university positions.

Each session will run from noon to 1:30 on either Wednesdays or Fridays. Participants should be prepared to attend all sessions.
