Site Tracks NC State ‘Stats and Strengths’

If you follow the news about NC State for very long, you soon get the impression that the university is achieving a new high ranking or winning another significant award almost every time you turn around. For instance, just a few weeks ago the Professional Online MBA program in the Poole College of Management was ranked No. 9 in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.

To give faculty and staff an easier way to keep up with NC State’s accomplishments and tell others about them, University Communications has created an online resource that presents the essential facts about NC State — the excellence of our student body, the prestige of our faculty, the strength of our economic impact and more — all in one place.

Stats and Strengths, a revamped version of the popular Pride Points site, gives a bird’s-eye view of NC State that covers everything from the number of student organizations on campus (700+) to the number of U.S. patents resulting from NC State research (850+) to the value of the university’s endowment ($885 million).

Stats and Strengths also presents rankings of the university and its programs, information about NC State research and partnerships, and concrete examples of how the power of philanthropy has made a difference at the institution. Topping it all off is a “Recent Accolades and Achievements” section that is frequently updated with NC State’s newest successes.

The Stats and Strengths page also links to a PDF version suitable for downloading and printing for those who need a hard copy for recruiting, information fairs or other outreach purposes.
