Sunshine State of Mind

NC State has accepted a bid to play No. 22 West Virginia in the 2010 Champs Sports Bowl at Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium in Orlando on Dec. 28. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., with a limited allocation of tickets currently available to Wolfpack Club members and NC State fans.

Hitting the Road

For the next seven days, NC State alum and Raleigh-based graphic designer Will Langley, armed with only a $20 bill and a full tank of gas, is taking to the streets to raise the profile of the growing number of unsheltered homeless residents facing daily, harsh realities in our local community.

Up to the Task

On Saturday, November 20, 39 members of NC State's Naval ROTC freshman class completed the "Wolfpack Challenge" - a six-hour test of their physical fitness ability, general military knowledge, knowledge of the major service components of the Navy and Marine Corps, and most importantly their ability to work as a team toward a common goal.

Giving Thanks

Omar Acosta ('14) has dreamed of being a doctor since he was a child. As he began to narrow down his college choices, NC State moved to the top of the list - despite not having a medical school on campus. Now, Acosta says, he's on course to realize his dream - thanks to the university's unique interdisciplinary approach to education and the overwhelming support offered to Bone Scholars like himself.
