RALEIGH: Thousands expected to take part in Krispy Kreme race ..., WNCN, Feb.7, 2014. An estimated 8,000 people are expected to participate in the 10th annual Krispy Kreme Challenge in Raleigh Saturday morning. Participants run 2.5 miles from the NC State bell tower to Krispy Kreme on Peace Street, eat a dozen doughnuts and then run back.
