Renowned Chef Howard Speaks on Campus

Award-winning chef, TV personality, author and NC State alumna Vivian Howard will return to campus Dec. 15 to deliver the annual Eloise S. Cofer Lecture on connecting food, family and community. She will also participate in a book signing earlier in the day in the Coastal Ballroom of the Talley Student Union. Both events are free and open to the public.

Celebrate All Things NC State During Red and White Week

The annual Red and White Week leading up to next Saturday's Homecoming football game against Boston College at Carter-Finley will have a slew of activities, from Chancellor Randy Woodson's annual fall address next Friday afternoon to food and beer presentations to free Howling Cow ice cream on Stafford Commons for students.

Monumental Design

The new Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture opens its doors on Sept. 24. For its architect, NC State alumnus and friend Phil Freelon, this marks the end of a nine-year journey that began when he was hired to lead the museum's design team.

Pack Rising

NC State’s annual spring commencement ceremony will take place at PNC Arena on Saturday, May 7, when Chancellor Randy Woodson will confer 64 associate’s, 3,779 bachelor’s, 1,467 master’s, 190 doctoral and 98 Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees. Those 5,598 new graduates will swell the total number for the academic year to 9,074.
