Paul W. Mulvey Honored With 2024 UNC Board of Governors Award for Excellence in Teaching

Paul W. Mulvey, associate professor in the Department of Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Poole College of Management, has been named the 2024 NC Board of Governors Award for Excellence in Teaching. The honor is the university system’s most prestigious teaching award, recognizing and encouraging faculty’s extraordinary teaching contributions.

Stephanie Jeffries is the recipient of the 2024 Provost’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. Jeffries, an associate teaching professor in the Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources in the College of Natural Resources, is known as an enthusiastic and highly engaging instructor with a strong dedication to innovative and inclusive pedagogy, high-quality undergraduate education, and the success of the whole student.

Miles Engell Receives 2023 Provost’s Award for Excellence in Teaching

Miles Engell is the recipient of the 2023 Provost’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. Engell, a teaching professor in the Department of Biological Sciences in the College of Sciences, is known as an outstanding professor who engages and challenges students by applying real examples of animal behavior research to the topic addressed.

NC State Names New Dean of College of Agriculture and Life Sciences

Garey Fox has been named dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at North Carolina State University following a nationwide search. His appointment becomes effective August 1, pending Board of Trustees approval. Fox replaces interim dean John Dole, who has held his position since February 2022.
