NC State in Top 5 for Minority Degrees
NC State earned a pair of top 5 rankings on the Diverse Issues in Higher Education magazine list of universities that award the most degrees to minority students.
NC State ranked:
- Fourth nationally in mathematics and statistics degrees awarded to African Americans
- Fifth nationally in engineering degrees awarded to African Americans
NC State also made the Top 100 Producers of Minority Degrees list in agriculture, physical sciences, biological and biomedical sciences, and education, based on numbers of degrees awarded to African American, Hispanic, Asian American and Native American students in 2008-09.
